Tuck Tucker is no stranger to playing music at festivals and other acoustic - related venues. He offers audiences an entertaining glimpse of his instrumental prowess and seasoned vocals. The music he creates is distinctive - a flavored blend of Bluegrass, jazz, and swing.
Tuck Tucker toured and recorded extensively from 1975 - 1985 with many groups. Some of these groups include, Red & Murphy & Co., Mark Johnson,Larry and Tony Rice, and The Front Porch String Band. In 1981Tuck produced his first solo album, ' Tucker'd Out' which received rave reviews, placing Tuck in the category of " Super Picker" ( Bluegrass Unlimited).
Tuck stopped touring in 1985, but by no means did he stop playing. Inspired by his wife and son , he started to compose truly outstanding music. It was then that Tuck began to perform and write with Gabe Valla , a young player who at the age of 17, won the Merle Watson Flatpicking Championship.They played as a duo at clubs in the local area for, four years.
